Story
In May 2027, my friend Nat and I will be taking on the incredible challenge of trekking the Great Wall of China on behalf of The Larissa Foundation, who are supporting Compton Care.
Compton Care provides compassionate, specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people living with life-limiting conditions, as well as vital support for their families. Their services help ensure that no one faces the most difficult times alone, offering physical, emotional and bereavement support when it’s needed most.
The Larissa Foundation was set up in loving memory of my daughter Larissa, a fun-loving and vibrant young girl whose life was sadly cut short by leukaemia. In her name, the foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and supporting a range of charities, including bereavement services, children’s hospitals, and organisations focused on leukaemia, blood cancer, and improving young lives. By taking on this once-in-a-lifetime challenge, we hope to help continue Larissa’s legacy — making a positive difference to children and families who need it most.
Any support, no matter how big or small, will be hugely appreciated and will help us reach our fundraising goal while supporting such an amazing cause. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
