Every year we provide care and support to over 6,500 people across South East London, both at home and in the hospice. We passionately believe that everyone should have access to the best care at the end of their lives. We need to fundraise £19.4 million each year to continue our services

Story

I'm raising money for St Christopher's Hospice in memory of my Dad, Neale, who passed away on the 13th of December 2023.

My Dad was in hospital for 4 months and unfortunately we were told in November that his treatment was no longer working and his wish was to pass peacefully at home. We were contacted by St Christopher's Hospice who assigned us a Nurse (Miguel Batista). When we first met Miguel, it was quite overwhelming to have someone finally show us such compassion and empathy. He took time to talk and listen to us and showed such a caring nature, something as a family we hadn't unfortunately experienced whilst my Dad was in Hospital.

St Christopher’s ensured my Dad was comfortable when his condition worsened. Their 24 hour call team were so kind and sympathetic over the phone and acted quickly whenever we needed something.

Even after my Dad had passed, they followed up with calls to see how I was doing, referred me for bereavement counselling and they sent us a sympathy card.

I want to raise money for this amazing charity to ensure they are able to help more families. It's also my way of just saying "Thank you."

Any donations large or small, are hugely appreciated.

Thank you
