🏃‍♀️Step Up for Solidarity: 5,000 Metres and no-one left behind🏃‍♂️

What started as a fun idea—taking some of the guys from LASSN’s shared houses to Woodhouse Moor parkrun—has turned into something bigger.

Now, a group of LASSN volunteers, supporters, and friends (including us!) are running 5km to raise money for something that matters: safe housing and support for people who’ve been refused asylum and left with nothing.

5,000 metres. 6,000 steps. One giant stride towards dignity and justice.

Every week, people in Leeds face destitution because the Home Office says they can’t stay—but also won’t support them. No home. No income. No right to work. That’s where LASSN’s Hosting and Housing project steps in—with a place to stay, a small allowance, and one-to-one, trauma-informed support.

We’re running to keep this project going—and we’d love your support.
