Story
I've committed to raise money to support Oregon Health and Science University Foundation by registering as a Charity Bib for this event.
Recently, dear friends of mine experienced the devastating loss of their baby girl, Billie. Through their experience, they learned about OHSU and the comfort they can bring to grieving families with the Memorial of Infant Loss Fund. That fund specifically allows OHSH to provide bereavement mementos to families to help them navigate their grief and provide an opportunity for parents to foster a connection with their child.
The memories OHSU gives grieving families with the Memorial of Infant Loss Fund are priceless to their families. Billies parents treasure the molds of Billies hands and feet, a locket of her hair and the prints of her tiny toes and delicate fingers in a beautiful memory box.
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is where Billie took her last breaths. Billie's family couldn’t forget how they were treated with kindness and compassion by their medical staff. To return the kindness, Billie’s wonderful parents decided to start a mission in her honor, I want to help continue this mission.
Please help me run Bryce Canyon 100 miler in Billie Rene Rices honor as we also honor her memory through Oregon Health & Science University Memorial of Infant Loss Fund.
