Story
Nick and I are very excited (I think) to be running the Brighton Marathon 2026 for Endometriosis UK!
Every penny we raise will go directly to their vital work, providing support, raising awareness, and campaigning for change for the 1 in 10 people living with endometriosis in the UK.
Currently, there is no cure for endometriosis. The different treatments available for endometriosis aim to reduce the severity of symptoms and improve the quality of life for someone living with the condition.
Living with endometriosis means facing some of the many challenges that so many women and girls go through - from delayed diagnoses and having our pain dismissed, to being made to feel that suffering is just a part of being a woman (but it’s not). On top of that, there’s the mental toll this condition takes on every aspect of your life!
Being someone who loves sport and staying active, it is no joke how endometriosis can take over, and for almost three years, it kept me from doing the things I love. But now, finally with a diagnosis, one surgery behind me and another one likely on the horizon, I want to show that even with a chronic illness, it’s still possible to achieve whatever we set our minds to!
…and Nick is the poor sacrifice coming along for the ride!
If you are able to contribute anything towards this cause, whether it’s for your daughter, granddaughter, friends, or family, it would mean the world to us!
