Laura and Shelley are running a half marathon!!!

What?

On 1 September we will be running Cheltenham half marathon - that’s 13.1 miles!

We have been training since April and are taking it seriously (for two fairly slow non-runners!). We run in the rain, the heat and when we really don’t fancy it! We have run up to 10 miles in training now and really need some sponsorship to help us get up to 13.1miles!

Why?

We are running to raise money for the Amber Townson foundation. This charity foundation supports bereaved families after deaths caused by Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) and funds research into SUDC to hopefully prevent families suffering this horrible loss in future.

Amber Townson is the daughter of our friends Glen and Tara. Her big sister, Scarlett, aged 9, is a school friend of Emma and Theo.

Last summer, Amber, aged 2, died in her sleep.

The sadness and suddenness of her death left us all heart-broken.

We are running further than we have ever run before for this special cause. Please give as generously as you can to support other parents and siblings who are bereaved by SUDC and to fund research into preventing this tragedy for future families.
