Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Around 153,000 people live with Parkinson’s in the UK. It's a progressive neurological condition, meaning it causes problems in the brain to get worse over time. It is now also the fastest growing neurological condition in the world.

Those of you that know me and my family will understand why I’ve chosen Parkinson’s UK. They do incredible work to not only support those with Parkinson’s, but also to hopefully one day find a cure.

The money I’m hoping to raise by running the 2025 London Marathon will be invaluable. £75 would fund a half day community clinic by a Parkinson’s nurse, £500 will fund a Parkinson’s nurse for 25 hours, and £1,000 could fund a cutting edge research project for a week.

The next 9 months of fundraising and marathon training will be a challenge. Any support in donations, fundraising activities or a stern word when I’m no doubt stressing out during all of this will all be welcome.

Thank you x
