Story

In September, our lives changed forever when we lost my brother, Alex. His loss has left a space that can never truly be filled, and not a day goes by that we don’t think of him.

Alex was the life and soul of any party—someone who could light up a room, make people laugh, and bring everyone together. But behind that smile, he was hiding his suffering far more than any of us realised. His loss is a heartbreaking reminder that we don’t always see what someone is going through.

He was loved deeply by so many of us—family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We’re taking on this charity walk in his memory, to honour his life and to keep his name and spirit alive in a positive and meaningful way.

We are also walking to support ANDYSMANCLUB, a charity that works tirelessly to raise awareness of men’s mental health and to provide safe spaces where men can talk openly without judgement. Too many people are struggling in silence, and we want to help change that.

If sharing Alex’s story can help even one person speak up or seek support, then this means everything to us.

We will be completing a 7.5 mile charity walk on Saturday 2nd May, meeting at 10am at the Crows Nest. Anyone who would like to join us is more than welcome, and your support—whether by walking with us or donating—means so much.

Any donation, big or small, will go towards supporting the incredible work that ANDYSMANCLUB does—helping to prevent other families from experiencing the heartbreak that we have.

Thank you so much for your support, kindness, and for helping us remember Alex in such a special way.
