Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

The Bournemouth Run supernova 5 k is being run in memory of Michelle Wilkins Mum to Connie and wife to Lee.

Doing this run along with others is Connie Michelle’s daughter and sister in-law Tilly

On 20th April 2023, Lee Connie and their families worlds were turned upside down when Michelle passed away from a rare condition called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). CJD is a rare and fatal condition that affects the brain. It causes brain damage that worsens rapidly over time. Michelle started feeling unwell November 2022, had ongoing tests and was diagnosed with Sporadic CJD in February 2023. They spent 4 months caring for her and watching her deteriorate every day. Michelle lost her memory her ability to care for herself and be the beautiful person she was. As you can imagine all their hearts were broken, as a family they are so proud of how incredibly resilient, strong and courageous both Connie and Lee have been through all this and they continue to do Michelle proud every day. The family would be unbelievably grateful if you would be kind enough to sponsor however big or small to raise some money for this amazing charity in Michelle name and memory.
