Story
Payton is taking part in the November Knitting/Crochet Challenge to support families facing dementia. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity.
She is pledging to crochet every single day in November to raise money for this worthy cause. Her wonderful great nanny suffered from Alzheimer’s for many years which was incredibly sad for everyone. By supporting charities like this, people can receive support and help with this challenging situation and enjoy time with their loved one.
We are so proud of payton wanting to take part in this challenge and would appreciate anything you can spare to help her raise money. We will post pictures of her progress along the way. She absolutely loves to crochet so this is a fantastic way for her to put her skills to positive use.
Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimers disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
