Story
Some of you know but for those who don't, my younger sister Alice was diagnosed with a rare advanced ovarian cancer at the end of September this year. Following this devastating news, just three weeks later she underwent major abdominal surgery. This was a success but further treatment was still needed.
So, Alice started her chemotherapy journey 3 weeks ago which is set to continue until the end of March. Chemotherapy comes with its own challenges, one of which Alice has had to face is losing her hair. This has been a difficult part for Alice to navigate and as a family we've witnessed the struggle of this.
Having supported Alice through this difficult process, I've been inspired to do something in order to raise awareness and also give back to a charity that funds the research into ovarian cancer.
So.... on the 19th of January I will be shaving my hair off! I'd like to ask you where possible to please get behind me and donate whatever you can!
There will be photos to follow on the 19th so keep a look out!
Thank you so much for reading and to anyone thinking of donating.
Laura 🙂
