Rebuild provides patients of the King's College Hospital Limb Reconstruction Unit with essential physiotherapy and psychological support as well as a social network and vital information website. We rely entirely on charitable donations to provide this crucial service. Formerly known at KLRT.

Story

I will be running the London Marathon for a second time for this incredible charity.

Rebuild was set up to support the large number of patients with congenital and acquired limb deformity who are treated at King’s College Hospital’s Limb Reconstruction Unit. Treatment for such deformity is often prolonged and requires a good deal of courage. This Limb Reconstruction Service calls on the expertise of surgeons, two full-time specialist nurses, one full-time specialist physiotherapist, specialised theatre staff and equipment, surgeons-in-training, a psychiatrist and a psychologist.

My amazing Mum is one of the specialist nurses working with Rebuild and a trustee for the charity.

I hope to be able to beat my last London Marathon time of 03:53. Training is being fit around a busy work schedule of on call shifts as an anaesthetic trainee doctor, with night shifts and 14 hour days a regular part of my life. Wish me luck!
