Our nephew, Ezra, was born in March this year with a congenital heart defect. Claire and Glen were unaware of this condition until he was born, and within a matter of hours Ezra was whisked away to Alder Hey for life saving treatment. Ezra spent the majority of the first month of his life in Alderhey and the nurses and doctors cared for him phenomenally. Claire and Glen were able to be with Ezra as they were given a room within their accommodation, without this it would have been much harder in many different ways.
