Story
In March 2026 I’ll be running the Brighton half marathon in support of the Huntingtons Disease Association (HDA) and in memory of my dad who passed away in 2023 after living with the disease.
Huntington’s Disease is a rare, hereditary condition that affects the brain, causing a progressive loss of control over movement, thinking and emotions. It’s a cruel condition that slowly takes away the person you know but throughout it all, my dad showed incredible strength, humour and love. I’m running this race to honour him, and to support others who are facing the same journey.
The Huntington’s Disease Association (HDA) does amazing work supporting and educating individuals and families affected by the disease, funding vital research and providing hope when it’s needed most. Every donation, big or small, helps them continue that work and make a difference to people’s lives.
If you’re able to donate, I’d be so grateful — your support will mean the world to me and to everyone who has been affected by the disease.
