Laura's fundraiser for Carers Hub

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
I am running a half marathon on 22nd October to raise money for Carers Hub Lambeth. This is a charity that means a lot to me, I volunteer for Carers Hub as their Chair of their Board and I have the honour of seeing the difference they make every day to the lives of carers in my local community in South London.
Many of the carers they support are young carers, under the age of 18 who look after a relative with a disability, illness, mental health condition, or drug or alcohol problem. A young carer sometimes looks after their parent or for their brother or sister.
Carers of all ages do an amazing job looking after their loved ones but it can be stressful and isolating and for young carers it can take a toll on their mental and physical health and their education.
The amazing team at Carers Hub provide 1-2-1 support and advice to young carers and their family to help them with their wellbeing and mental health, housing and financial challenges. They also help with their homework and relationship with school and provide fun activities in the school holidays so they can relax, have fun, make new friends and build new memories.
Every penny Carers Hub raises goes a long way - so if you feel you can make a donation, it would be really appreciated and would help them support more carers this winter.
