Story
🏃♀️ I never thought I was a runner.
Most of my life, I believed running wasn’t something I could do, told myself I wasn’t a runner. It was simply one of those beliefs I had about myself.
July 2025, I decided to get curious about that belief and initially couldn’t run for more than a few seconds without stopping.
Over the past year, I’ve pushed myself further than I ever imagined - through the difficult runs, the walk breaks, the injuries, the doubts and the moments when stopping would have been much easier.
Now I’m taking on my first half marathon....
This isn’t just about running 13.1 miles. For me, it’s about proving that sometimes the beliefs we hold about ourselves aren’t facts - and that, with right effort and a little support, we’re capable of changing them.
I’m incredibly proud to be fundraising for Mental Health Matters, because mental health and physical health are both so important. Looking after our minds deserves just as much attention as looking after our bodies, and the two are often much more connected than we realise.
If you’d like to support me, any donation - however big or small - would mean a huge amount and help me raise money for an important cause 💜
Here’s to challenging old beliefs, doing things we once thought we couldn’t, and finding out what we’re actually capable of.
From not being able to run further than a few seconds… to a half marathon🏃♀️
