Story
Thank you for supporting me as I take on the St Nicholas Hospice Care Fire Walk.
By sponsoring me, you are ensuring that St Nicholas Hospice Care can continue to deliver its free and essentials services to those facing death, dying and grief across West Suffolk and Thetford.
On 13th August 2024 we lost an amazing man from our lives. My hero, my rock, my dad. Allan George Evans.
Dad spent the final stages of his life at st Nicolas hospice in bury st Edmund’s. Where they cared for him impeccably. The love and dedication shown by their team Was second to none. They not only looked after him but they looked after our whole family who didn’t want to leave dad’s side. They provided constant refreshments, beds, blankets and support for us for the entirety of his stay. They chatted to us when needed and kept us fully informed of what was happening. They gave us space when it was needed.
All of this with no cost to us at all.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the much needed fundraising that happens by them and for them.
I would walk over a volcano if it meant that I could spend just 5 more minutes in my dad’s embrace but I cant. But if me walking over hot coals can help to raise some much needed funds for this massively worthy cause then that’s the next best thing right?
Please dig deep and give what you can
Many thanks from me, my family and most importantly my dad.
