Story
In 2026, I’ll be taking on the Glacier Marathon with a purpose that runs far deeper than the miles ahead. I am proudly supporting the Alzheimer’s Association—an organization that provides critical research, resources, and hope for families affected by this devastating disease.
This cause is deeply personal to me. My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2021, and ever since, my family and I have witnessed both the challenges and the moments of strength that come with this journey. Seeing someone you love face a disease that slowly steals memories, independence, and connection is heartbreaking. But it has also shown me the importance of community, compassion, and the urgent need for continued support and research.
Running this half marathon is my way of honoring my dad—his courage, his story, and the memories we hold close. It’s also my way of helping move us closer to a world where Alzheimer’s can be prevented, treated, or even cured.
If you’re able, I’d be grateful for your support. Whether through a donation, sharing my page, or simply cheering me on, you’re helping make a difference for countless families like mine.
Together, we can bring hope to the fight against Alzheimer’s. 💜🏔️
With love,
Laura
