Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page - we are fundraising in memory of our dear friend, Pat.

Meryl and I both met Pat on our first days at Whipps Cross Hospital. Pat was welcoming, kind and with a good sense of humour. Pat became an incredibly loyal & fierce friend, willing to offer sound advice, forthright opinions, plus support and help when needed. Her wisdom and worldly-wise advice will stay with us always.

Pat was an outstanding Whipps Cross employee, spending over 22 years looking after her colleagues and patients. It is credit to Pat that regular patients still remember her fondly 20 years on. We were lucky to have her as a friend and were devastated by her loss last year. We wanted to celebrate our friendship with Pat who is constantly in our thoughts.

Like George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life, we hope Pat is smiling and knowing how much she meant to her friends and family and how her love and friendship touched so many lives.

Pat suggested walking the last part of the pilgrims way to Santiago Compostela (115km) and although she won’t see us walking, we can already hear her laughing and expecting us to get into some scrapes.
