Story
Hello all, Mummy (Susanna) will sadly be gone 10 years this Christmas! As a family we want to celebrate her life and her memory by walking up Eagles Rock in Moneyneena on the 16th Of December followed by a cup of tea in An Rath Dubh after. There will be a small fundraising for Friends Of Africa, a charity which is very close to my heart. We appreciate times are tough, particularly at this time of the year so there’s absolutely no pressure to donate. Whilst I was unlucky to have lost a lot so young, FOA has made me realise there are others out there much worse off than me. I was lucky enough to travel to South Africa with FOA this summer and got to experience first hand the good work they do! FOA have a long partnership with The Tsholofelo Community in South Africa. Their mission is to work with communities living in informal settlements ( camps) in the North West Province. The poverty that exists in these areas is truly shocking and it is in the midst of this that the Tsholofelo community provide early childhood education, skills training, adult learning and clinics. Any donations received will go directly to The Tsholofelo community to help them continue this work. Tsholofelo is where I was located this summer and want to continue to support the great work out there. We have been blessed with great friends, family and neighbours who have supported us through the last 10 years so MJ and I would love to catch up with some of you on the Rock on the 16th to show our appreciation ❤️
