Laura's running again, this time for Sarcoma UK

Herne Bay & Whitstable 10K · 6 July 2024
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I am participating in the Herne Bay & Whitstable 10K to raise money for Sarcoma UK.
This event holds a special significance for me as it marks my first race and longest distance post cancer surgery. In September 2023, I received the frightening news that the lump on my shoulder was Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP), a rare form of sarcoma. Despite multiple visits to my GP and tests at various hospitals, the cancer had gone undiagnosed. Thanks to an incredible medical team, I am now cancer-free and on the path to full recovery (view the gallery for the gruesome details!).
Sarcoma is a challenging type of cancer that affects bone and soft tissue, making it difficult to diagnose and treat. By supporting me in this event, we can contribute to vital research, provide support for those affected by sarcoma, and advocate for improved treatments. Your donation will help fund research efforts, maintain our Support Line, and raise awareness to enhance treatment and care standards.
Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by sarcoma. Thank you for your support.
