Story
The Canaan Project is a charity that Luke and I have been proud to support since its start 20 years ago. Since 2013, they have focused specifically on empowering young women, and since 2019, their work has been centred on the Isle of Dogs—where we live!
The charity does incredible work through initiatives such as lunch clubs in local schools, after-school clubs in the community, one-to-one mentoring, empowerment courses, and trips. Their mission is to help girls and young women flourish, broaden their horizons, and raise their aspirations. They have a vision of young women who are comfortable in their own skin, confident in their communities, and empowered to navigate the wider world—a wonderful aim for young women everywhere.
As someone living in this community, I’m delighted at the thought that one day my daughter—and perhaps some of yours—could benefit from these amazing programmes. Over the years, Luke and I have been grateful to support the Canaan Project both financially and as volunteers, and it has been incredible to witness the impact they are making first-hand.
I hope you’ll join me in supporting this fantastic charity as they continue investing in the young women of our community.
