Story
I’m running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in a few weeks to raise funds for the Intensive Care Society—an organization that supports research and training for ICU staff like the team at RBH who day after day, week after week, worked tirelessly to bring my Dad back to us and gave my father the precious gift of time after his life-saving surgery for bowel cancer. Through their vital medical research and training programs, they’re helping ICU staff save even more lives. Because of them, my dad beat the odds, and even though he continues to battle cancer —with the gift of time he has been able to make many more special memories with his friends and family including the highlight of reuniting and even walking down the aisle again with my mum. The dedication, care and respect by the ICU staff was nothing short of incredible. Just like Dad, they went above and beyond every single day to do their best. Running is not something that comes naturally to me, but I will be pushing to do my very best come race day and most importantly raise money and awareness for this special charity.
Please support my run—your donation fuels life-saving research and training
