Stroke has affected my family in ways we never expected.

My dad had a stroke in 2023 and now lives in a care home because of the complex needs he has as a result.

Recently, my sister-in-law’s mum also suffered a stroke and is now beginning her rehabilitation journey..

Seeing first-hand how devastating and life-changing stroke can be has made this cause deeply personal to me. I’m running the London Marathon for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland to help fund vital support, recovery services and research so families like ours don’t face this alone.
