I’m taking part in Race Across the World with Project Trust to support the next generation of Volunteers preparing for their international placements.

As a Returned Volunteer, I know first-hand the impact a placement can have: building confidence, resilience, independence and global understanding in ways that stay with you long after you return home.

Today’s Volunteers are facing rising costs and increasing financial barriers. That’s why I’m fundraising to help Project Trust raise the additional 30% needed on top of every Volunteer’s placement fee -currently around £2,235 per Volunteer.

This vital fundraising helps make placements possible and ensures more young people can access the same life-changing experience that I was lucky enough to have.
