Our beautiful and amazing mother Linda Athey left us far too soon on 6 March 2024. She was coming back from a fantastic trip to Australia and took ill on her flight home. She experienced unexpected complications and passed away suddenly but peacefully in Singapore. She knew her daughters were on their way to be with her.

Linda spent her career as a nurse, and a large part of it in cancer research and oncology. She formed close bonds with many of the people she helped care for, including Kaz who founded Wigs for Heroes.

She believed in Kaz’s work so much that when she retired she began to volunteer with Wigs for Heroes. She was incredibly proud of everything Kaz and her fantastic group were achieving, and we think she would be honoured to help raise some funds for them to continue this brilliant work supporting other women through their cancer battle.
