Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Myself along with nine other staff members from Nendrum College in Comber, are taking part in the Belfast Marathon Relay this May, we are running for The Net in Comber who work closely with Nendrum, and the community. I have written a little about who the Net are, and what they do, any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou for taking the time to visit our page.
Comber Youth for Christ [locally known as ‘The Net’] has existed in the town of Comber since 1998, and was founded in response to a growing concern for young people who were unattached from any youth provision in the locality. In the years that followed, the organisation has been on a journey to where we are today The Nets provision has grown and developed into a dynamic and respected contributor to the life and citizenship of young people in Comber.
Our provision comes in the form of Drop In sessions, Mentoring and Counselling for young people both inside and outside of school, Group work including residential and detached (on the streets) all working to achieve our core aims: - to engage with young people, support them in their whole-person development and help them to reach their full potential.
We have been working closely with Nendrum College providing pastoral support through mentoring and counselling and engage a lot of young people from Nendrum in our afterschool drop in sessions and group work. This fundraiser would help enable the young peoples counselling service to continue and provide free counselling sessions for young people inside and outside of school to engage in the service.
Team Nendrum, let's do this!!
