Story
Inspired by the strength and courage of my dear friend Aileen McKean who founded this charity in memory of her son, I wanted to help by taking on a challenge that would be a real test of my abilities and this is it.
Running the 96 hilly miles that make up the West Highland Way. I'll start in Fort William on Friday morning, the 12th September then make my way to Kingshouse 24.2 miles. Day two is Kingshouse to Crianlarich 25.5 miles. Day 3 Crianlarich to Rowardennan 19.9 miles. Day 4 Rowardennan to Milngavie 26.7 miles.
To be absolutely honest I am not sure I'll manage it all in four consecutive days. I will do my very best. The thought of how much this charity helps families through the toughest of times will keep me going when my legs start trying to give up.
