Story
Mind Over Mountains supports people through the power of walking in nature, mindfulness, and professional guidance. With mental health challenges increasing—and suicide now the leading cause of death for under-35s in the UK - it’s more important than ever to create spaces that genuinely help people feel supported.
For me, hiking started during a very tough period of my life. It wasn’t dramatic or life-changing overnight, but it gave me somewhere to go, something steady to focus on, and a way to look after myself when things felt heavy. Over time, it became something I absolutely loved and connected with. In summer 2024, I completed three marathon treks for three charities close to my families heart, and that’s when I realised how powerful these walks could be!
Now, as a fully-fledged hiking nerd, I’m excited for what comes next.
Throughout 2025, I’m taking on a year-long challenge to support Mind Over Mountains. I’ll be hosting and joining a fundraiser called 12 Months of Mental Health, where each month I’ll summit a different peak across the UK. Each route will bring its own distance, difficulty, and scenery - but every single climb will be driven by the same purpose: to champion mental well-being and make a positive difference, one step at a time.
This journey is just as much about people as it is about the paths. I’m inviting anyone to join - whether it’s one hike or all twelve - to share the experience, enjoy the outdoors, and support each other along the way. Together, we can take meaningful steps: on the trail, and towards better awareness of mental health.
