Lands End to John O'Groats Virtual Walk #4the❤️ofAlfie

Aiming to walk 100 miles in April for Petals
Hiya I’m Laura,
I am joining the Petals community to walk 100 miles in the month of April ❤️
They are a counselling service for parents who have lost their babies
And here’s how I know them…
In 2020 we lost our son Alfie. The photo below is me in 2020 days after birthing Alfie and Freddie, I came home with one baby. 💔
The following year was a blur, but one constant for me remained, I had monthly counselling sessions with Antiona, my petals counsellor. Those sessions were everything for me in that first year.
I am doing this challenge for the love of Alfie, our forever baby boy, Freddie’s twin brother and Leo’s other little brother.
Help me help other families that have to live through the loss of their baby and get the support they so desperately need.
Demand for Petals specialist counselling service has never been so high. Heartbreakingly, last year they were forced to turn away 738 people who came to them for help as they simply did not have the funds to support them
Having to turn away anyone goes against everything Petals stand for, and they are determined to rapidly expand their service in 2023.
It’s time for me to pay it forward. I want to thank the wonderful staff who helped my broken heart begin to mend again. Photo is me now in 2023.
It is and will continue to be a long journey but in your darkest moments you need the light and I believe petals was that for me.
Forever thankful and grateful for any and all donations which truly make the world of difference to parents in need ❤️
