I'm taking on the 2027 London Marathon to raise £2,000 for Friends of Reepham Primary School.

If you’d told me a year ago that I’d be signing up to run a marathon, I probably wouldn’t have believed you! I’ve recently run my first ever 10K race, so going from 10K to a marathon is a pretty big step and definitely going to push me well outside my comfort zone.

But I'm doing it for a cause that means a lot to me.

As a parent at Reepham Primary School, I’ve seen the difference that Friends of Reepham can make. The money raised helps provide all the extra things that make school such a great place for children, from books, sports equipment and outdoor learning to play, classroom resources and experiences that they might not otherwise get.

These things might seem small, but they can make a big difference to the children and to their experience at school.

And you don’t have to have a child at the school to support us. Reepham Primary is part of our local community, and these are our local children. I’d love to raise £2,000 to help give them more opportunities to learn, explore, play and have fun.

So now I just need to somehow get myself around 26.2 miles!

I’ll be training over the coming months, and I’m sure there will be plenty of highs, lows and moments when I wonder what on earth I’ve signed up for. But knowing that every mile is helping raise money for the school will hopefully keep me going.

If you can spare anything to sponsor me, I’d be incredibly grateful. Whether it’s £5, £10 or whatever you can afford, every donation will help me get closer to my £2,000 target and, most importantly, help make a difference to the children at Reepham Primary School.

Thank you so much for your support.
