Great Manchester Run 10k 2024 · 26 May 2024 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Alzheimer’s Society are constantly working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. Sadly, several of our team members have personally witnessed the profound effects Alzheimer's disease can have on a loved one, whether they were grandparents, parents, or friends.

On Sunday 26th May, Lauren, Jake, Becky, Joe, Mert, Emma, Ciara, and Ryan will be running the Manchester 10k to raise funds for the cause. Additionally, Mark has completed a half marathon on Saturday, April 13th.

Many of us are embarking on our running journey from scratch, gradually working towards the milestone of 10k, from daily lunchtime runs to Saturday community parkruns. We are committed to doing our part in eradicating this distressing condition.

We appreciate any donations received, as every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant difference in supporting those affected by dementia today. Together, we can provide hope for the future.
