At the end of April, some of the girls from work and I will be climbing Snowdon overnight to reach the summit for sunrise, all in aid of Cancer Research UK.

This charity is incredibly close to my heart, as I know it is for so many others.

In July 2025, my partner Shane was diagnosed with kidney and lung cancer. Hearing those words was the most heartbreaking moment of our lives. After many rounds of immunotherapy, we were devastated to learn that the cancer had spread to his brain.

Shane sadly passed away on the 17th December 2025, leaving behind me, our three-year-old little girl Hallie, and the rest of our family. Losing him has changed our lives forever. Hallie now has to grow up without her dad, and that is a pain no family should ever have to face.

That is why I want to do something that could help make a difference for other families going through this. If climbing Snowdon can help raise money towards research and bring us even one step closer to better treatments or a cure, then it will mean the world to us.
