I was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer in 2022 at age 28. My treatment was chemo-radiation including high dose internal radiation. This diagnosis and treatment severely damaged me in sooooo many ways. I'm left with a lot of long lasting side effects including chronic pain conditions and menopause to name a few. It has been a long road in recovery, adjusting to my body and how it now functions, and all that is still very much ongoing. The good days are good, but they also come with bad days that are very much debilitating. Life with, AND after cancer, can really suck sometimes. But, I'm so lucky to be in remission. I'm so lucky to still be here.

Pushing myself into staying fit and active, taking on life and really trying to LIVE IT has really helped me in so many ways.

Since joining an adventure/walking group, my life has honestly changed for the better. I'm supported and motivated to challenge myself in ways I'd never have thought, by the most amazing bunch of people.

So... with that... I'm here to declare that I've decided that in under 3 weeks time I'll be hiking up the highest mountain in the UK- Ben Nevis 😅. I'm absolutely bricking it and 2022 me would be SHOOK 😂.

As this is such a huge challenge and milestone in my journey, I'm dedicating this hike to the Glasgow Beatson Cancer Centre- where I attended for my treatment. If anyone can spare anything at all towards this charity it would absolutely mean the world and help motivate me to get to that summit. Totally understand if not able to... but if you could pleaaaaase give me a wee like and share that would be fab. Thank you all so much!
