Project Play: Uganda 2025 - 4 Weeks · 2 June 2025 to 31 August 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
In June 2025 I will be travelling to Uganda for 4 weeks with an awesome and dedicated team of volunteers for the summer! We will be transforming an empty field at a local school into a vibrant playground so that children can access a childhood! This is a great opportunity for me as a first year student at Leeds Beckett University, but I need your help!
I will have the opportunity of facilitating and stimulating play, engaging with parents and gaining valuable experience, oh and teaching them a bit of Yorkshire!
I will be completing a skydive on the 20th of April, and completing different tasks to raise as much money as possible. This money will go directly to helping the charity and funding key parts of the development I will be covering my own expenses.
I know times are hard but come on help a girl out 😉
Your generous support will enable Play Action International to create a legacy of play within the local community where so that we can create an environment where children's development and well-being are supported and children are able to learn essential skills that will allow them to reach their potential. Join us in creating a legacy of play, laughter, growth, and endless possibilities.
Our playgrounds and play programmes bring about remarkable changes:
- 98% of schools report increase in pupil attendance.
- 74% of children give 'The Playground' as a reason to attend school.
- 83% of teachers report improvements in children's attention and behaviour in classes.
Donate to play a key role in supporting our fundraisers to ensure these amazing projects can happen, ensuring that every swing, slide, and moment of fun in the classroom contributes to a brighter future for disadvantaged children at school and in the wider community. We're incredibly grateful for your support!
