Story
I am honoured to be participating in the Wirral Coastal Walk 2026 on 7th June 2026, where I will be walking a challenging 12k route to raise funds for GIST Cancer UK.
This cause is deeply personal to me, as someone close to my family has been affected by Gastro-Intestinal Stromal Tumour (GIST), a rare and often misunderstood form of cancer.
GIST Cancer UK plays a vital role in supporting patients and their families by providing essential information in hospitals across the UK, hosting support meetings, and maintaining an active online community that offers practical advice and comfort.
Beyond support, the charity is at the forefront of funding crucial research aimed at improving treatment options and raising awareness among medical professionals. They also back the PAWS-GIST Clinic in Cambridge, which is instrumental in advancing patient care.
I am reaching out with hope and gratitude to ask for your support. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in continuing this important work, helping those affected by GIST cancer today and bringing hope for a better tomorrow.
Together, we can make strides towards a future where GIST is better understood and more effectively treated.
Please consider contributing towards our target of £500 to fuel this life-changing mission.
