Supporting the Puebla School Recovery Programme in Mexico

Lauren Gold is raising money for All Hands and Hearts (UK) Trust

Team: Hiscox London Market fundraising for All Hands and Hearts (UK) Trust

We work around the world to lessen the physical and emotional impact caused by climate disasters and humanitarian crises. Through direct action, accessible volunteer engagement and strong partnerships, we support communities to respond to, recover from, and build resilience against disasters.

Story

In October, I'll be travelling to Puebla, Mexico with All Hands and Hearts as part of their School Recovery Programme. Alongside a team of volunteers, I'll be helping to rebuild and improve educational facilities for children and communities affected by natural disasters.

Having spent the past 14 months renovating my own home, I know first-hand the impact that practical building work can have, and I'm excited to use those skills to give back and support a community in need.

To help raise funds for this incredible project, I'll be climbing Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain, in September. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support the programme and enable volunteers like me to make a meaningful difference.

Thank you for supporting this cause and helping us create safer, stronger learning environments for children in Puebla.
