On the 12th of July, I am taking on Mission: Mud to raise money for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, a charity that holds a very special place in my heart.

I am doing this in memory of my Dad, who was cared for by Essex & Herts Air Ambulance following a serious fall. Their rapid response, expert care and support helped give us precious extra time with him before we had to say our final farewell. Those moments are something my family will always treasure and I will be forever grateful for the incredible work they do.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance provides a free life-saving service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, responding by helicopter and rapid response vehicles to people suffering critical illness and injury across Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. Their aim is to save lives, reduce disability and prevent suffering by delivering outstanding pre-hospital emergency medical care when every second counts.

As a charity, they rely entirely on the generosity of supporters to continue their vital work. Every donation, no matter how small, helps ensure they can be there for other families when they need them most.
