We provide support to people and their families in the UK who have Phelan-McDermid Syndrome (chromosome 22q13.3 deletion). This support is provided through information, therapies and financial grants, and by organising family days and get-togethers. Thank you for supporting PMSF UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 27th April 2025 I will be running the Manchester Marathon.

I am raising money for a charity very close to my heart. After a very long battle for a diagnosis, in 2018 my brother Matthew at age 14 was diagnosed with Phelan-McDermid Syndrome (PMS).

PMS is a rare genetic disorder that can affect many critical functions in a persons body such as learning and communicating. This is usually caused by a chromosome deletion 22q13.3. This results in intellectual and physical disabilities.

My running journey started with ACTA Run Club in January 2024, which changed my life. I have since taken part in a 10K and half marathon. The Manchester Marathon will be my biggest physical and mental challenge yet.

Thank you for your support.
