My name is Lauren and I am a registered dental nurse in Pickering, North Yorkshire. I have been in this profession for 13 years and I want to use my knowledge and passion to help those who are in need.

My friend and colleague Courtney and I, will be flying out to Malawi in July 2025 to volunteer with the charity Dentaid. We will be treating patients of all ages throughout our time there . These patients are suffering and are in need of dental treatment due to limited access to dental services.

As a volunteer, I’ll be working with local dentists to run outreach clinics in schools, orphanages, prisons, slum areas, and community buildings. We will be providing safe, free dental treatment for some of the poorest and most remote communities in the world.

Dentaid is an amazing charity and I am excited to take part in this once-in-a lifetime opportunity.

Your contribution will help with equipment, PPE, my flights and accommodation.
