Great Shape! Inc.’s 1000 Smiles dental project serves thousands of Jamaicans, Grenadians, Turks &

Caicos Islanders and St. Lucians in temporary clinics and schools. In rural Jamaica there is just one

dentist for every 100,000 people. Tooth decay leads to infections, disease, unemployment, and

even death. Great Shape! Executive Director, Joseph Wright says, “Our volunteers are helping

to produce an entire generation of kids with healthy gums and teeth.” That means wellness,

employment and beautiful smiles!

Great Shape! launched 1000 Smiles in 2003 and has helped over 210,000 Jamaicans. 1000 Smiles in

Saint Lucia launched in 2015 and has served more than 5300 so far. This year will be our fourth

year in Grenada seeing more than 2000! 1000 Smiles will serve Turks & Caicos for the 3rd year!!

Your $50 Sponsorship (or more) will directly empower five dental patients in the Caribbean. Your

sponsorship provides: dental care and products, teeth cleanings, extractions, sealants and

toothbrushes.

Approximately 600 volunteers travel to Jamaica, Grenada, and Turks & Caicos from across the

U.S., Canada and beyond, to serve in temporary dental clinics and schools. Dental professionals

handle all the dental care, while non-dental pro’s help manage the rest. We're so blessed to team

up with the Ministry of Health in Jamaica, Grenada, St. Lucia, Turks and Caicos and the Sandals
