Story

In July 2023 our family was shattered by the death of our amazing Grace, my beautiful cousin who was like a sister to me. Grace always called me and my sister her big sister-cousins and that's what we were. She was just 28 years old.

Grace had Cystic fibrosis (CF). CF genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 11,000 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

The CF Trust has been supporting people with cystic fibrosis to live longer healthier lives since 1964 and the research they have funded has improved life expectancy and quality but more funding is need to reach their aim of everyone with CF being able to live a life unlimited.

We miss Grace so much. She was incredibly brave and strong and lived her life to the absolute max, despite all the challenges she faced. We're so so proud of her many achievements, especially her work as a paediatric nurse where her empathy and understanding of what they were going through made the experience of illness better for many children.

Any sponsorship to help others like Grace to live their lives to the max and one day cure CF would be greatly appreciated.

Love
