On 13th September 2026 I will be running the Great North Run, a 13.1 mile (21.1km) race from Newcastle upon Tyne to South Shields in support of The Freedom Project Cumbria (charity number: 1187765).

The Freedom Project is the only organisation offering free, long-term, community-based support in West Cumbria as part of its mission to help stop domestic abuse.

They work with perpetrators, families and children, and have supported over 10,000 individuals during their 22 years. Referrals last year increased by 57%.

Their key services include a helpline, group support for adults and children victims of abusive relationships, one-to-one counselling & training.
