Story
This September, I’ll be traveling to China to volunteer with Harbin Slaughterhouse Survivors (SHS), an incredible charity that rescues dogs, cats, and other animals from the meat trade, abuse, and neglect. Before I go, I want to raise as much money as possible to support their life-saving work. SHS gives animals found in horrific conditions a second chance, providing urgent medical care, shelter, and rehoming. With hundreds of animals in their care at any time, they rely entirely on donations to keep going. Some of their biggest costs include:
🐶 Basic medical care and vaccinations – £100+ per animal
🏠 Shelter, food, and daily care – £500+ per week to feed all the rescued animals
🔥 Heating in harsh winters – £3,000+ per month (Harbin’s winters drop to -30°C!)
✈️ Transport to forever homes – £600-£1,500 per animal
🏥 Emergency surgeries and treatments – £500+ per case
Every donation, no matter how small, goes directly towards keeping these animals safe, warm, and healthy while they wait for their forever homes.

To help raise money, I’ve decided to put myself through a bungee jump! Anyone who knows me knows that this is my worst nightmare, so this is going to be a real challenge. But if these animals can fight for their lives, I can take on this challenge for them.
Please consider donating if you can, or even just sharing this page to help spread the word. Together, we can make a life-changing difference for these animals.
