Hello!!

Myself and our wonderful SPN friend Karen will be making an effort to raise some money to benefit Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland.

We've chosen this charity for a number of reasons, both personal and fandom related.

As most of you will know, both Tim Omundson and Rob Benedict are stroke survivors. Having lost my own mum to a stroke in 2012, I recognise how blessed we are that they're both still with us, and how well they're doing given all they've been through.

More recently, Mark Sheppard survived a number of heart attacks, and again, we are fortunate he's still with us.

In February, Karen also survived a widowmaker heart attack, in part thanks to the wonderful doctors at Edinburgh Royal. As fate would have it, this is the same hospital that took care of my dad in 2006 when he had a heart attack.

I myself am high risk for stroke and heart issues, due to a number of conditions, so I'm very conscious that the people who specialise in these issues could become crucial in savings my own life someday.

And of course, both Karen and I are Scottish, so it's a no brainer we chose a Scotland based charity!

We each have made a number of specially made trinkets (keychains, bracelets, etc) that we will bring to upcoming conventions (Crossroads 10, Purgatory 9, For The Love of Fantasy). If you donate, you may claim one! Please check the photos for examples.

For anyone who wishes to make an especially generous donation, I am willing to custom make something with my endless supply of beads!

We are also willing to post trinkets worldwide, however anything above basic postage would need to be covered by the donor.
