Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page and supporting my fundraising for the MND Association. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help make a difference to people living with Motor Neurone Disease, like my Dad Mick.
Over the past 8 years I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone to raise funds and awareness for MND, and my family and I have been blown away with the generosity and support family, friends and strangers have shown by helping me raise over £31,800 for the MND Association.
As I approach my 5th and final fundraising challenge, I knew I needed to push myself even further and what better way to do it than run my 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th marathon in the space of 4 weeks!!
My challenge starts with the Manchester marathon on 18 April, followed by three more marathons in the space of four weeks: London, Milton Keynes, and finally crossing the finish line at the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon. Four marathons, four weeks, all for one incredible cause.
Oh and I’m also running the Royal Parks half in October, but that feels like a light warm up compared to the rest of the challenge!
No one will ever understand the impact MND has on you until it's a part of your life, and sadly that is becoming way too common for a lot of families.
I am doing this challenge to show my continued support and admiration for my Dad and how he is dealing with the hand life has thrown him, but also for my Mum, who's life has also had to change and adapt as she becomes my Dad's sole carer. Both of them are my absolute hero's.
We have to find a cure for this horrible disease, so please, if you can, donate. Every single penny really makes a difference.
Thanks for your continued support, it means more than you'll ever know 💙🧡
