February 2023 I began with a severe headache, it was from then on the next few months of my life would be shaped massively. A week after turning 16 I found myself unable to think straight, unable to function properly, unable to understand what exactly was happening to me. Until this moment I had not seen what exactly it was like to fear for your life, to see how precious life is and how quickly it can be swept away from you. However, with the help of paramedics and many doctors I was able to take my life back into my own hands.Unfortunately meningitis is not made aware enough, you don’t believe something so major could happen to you until you’re faced with it. Therefore, I feel to pay back for all the help I was given I am fundraising for meningitis now. Me and my Jack Russel are setting out on Wag for meningitis, for 30 days we will be setting out to complete 100 miles in the month of October . Meningitis now is a charity working towards spreading awareness of meningitis to allow more people a better chance of fighting this disease. So, any donations towards this charity supports further research to find new, and enhances existing, vaccines to save lives. With as little as £1 this can go towards saving so many lives being taken from this awful disease.
