Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are putting ourselves out there once again this year to defend our title and raise as much money as possible for MK YiS! A crew of 15 brave souls, mostly postgraduate students at the Open University will battle the waves (and hopefully not pouring rain this year!) at Willen Lake on the 22nd July 2023!

MK YiS is a local charity doing vital work to support young people's mental health. Huge numbers of children and young people are experiencing mental health problems and adequate support is not always available. We want to do whatever we can to help MK YiS support all those in need across MK. We all know the benefits of physical activity and sport on mental wellbeing (my research is all about this!) and being involved in the dragon boat race last year was hugely beneficial to all of us, hence why we had to do it again!! :D It seems fitting that we should support a mental health charity this year. We understand times are difficult and that money is tight but if you can spare even the smallest amount, it all adds up. We just need 500 people to spare £1 to hit our target, although we'd obviously love to smash it! Please give what you can, the donations last year spurred us on to an unprecedented victory in that blur of a final! Let's do it again!! Thankyou from the whole crew :D
