Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

I’m running the Scottish Half Marathon in memory of my granny, who sadly passed away from Alzheimer’s. She was a huge part of my life and someone I was incredibly close to. Watching Alzheimer’s take pieces of her away was heartbreaking, but it also showed me how strong, she was right until the end.

This run is for her — to honour the memories we shared, the love she gave, and the person she will always be to me. It’s also for everyone affected by Alzheimer’s, and in the hope that one day fewer families will have to go through the same pain. Every step I take will be for my granny, and for all those who have loved and lost to this horrible disease.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to me. Your support will help fund vital research and support for families affected by Alzheimer’s. Thank you so much!
