Story

I wanted to take a moment to share with my reason why I have decided to participate in the City of Lincoln's 10K on the 14th of April. This endeavor is not just a personal challenge; it is a heartfelt tribute to my close friend, Jan Barrett-Treen, who sadly passed away recently with cancer.

Jan was not just my best friend; she was a beacon of strength, resilience, and kindness. Her unwavering spirit left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

As I put on my running shoes on the 14th of April, it will be more than just a physical journey for me. It will be a journey of remembrance, celebration, and, most importantly, a commitment to making a difference. I am dedicating my participation in the 10K to Jan's memory and to honor the strength she exhibited throughout her fight.

In conjunction with this run, I am taking the opportunity to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. I invite you to join me in this meaningful cause. Your support, whether through encouragement or a donation, will not only propel me forward during the run but will also contribute to the broader effort of making a positive impact in the lives of those affected by cancer.
